Poor Gelmir. This was very well written . Horror in fanfic often doesn't quite feel like horror, but this definitely did. So much desperation, both in his earlier naive beliefs and later in his loss of them, of everything. His final brokenness and acceptance was very convincing, a little too much so even. Brrr.
