The solution sounds very workable, and I definitely see how it might do away with your initial reservations -- and that's why I love the idea of the daily prompts, too - it adds a degree of randomness to the scavenger quotes and may just spark something new entirely. :D The openness, here, I guess, doesn't just depend on you, it also involves a working brain in terms of the participants (which isn't to smart the people who don't like the format - preference is a different thing entirely) to make something of the offered prompts.
