I'm Myaru almost everywhere fandom-related, and still very new to Tolkien fandom. I love The Silmarillion, I love writing - it's natural to try putting the two together, and B2MeM is my opportunity to participate a little more than I have been. Stepping out that door is harder than it sounds, though.
Elves are my obsession, specifically Elrond (which came as a surprise to me), Maglor, Finrod, and Fingolfin. Numenor has been creeping its way into my heart lately, too.
I don't have any work of my own I want to recommend. My list of favorites is pretty long, too, but my current beloved read is Anadûnai (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=631) by Darth Fingon, which hit at the heart of so many of the painful topics tied up with Elros and Elrond I'm interested in, while also cracking me up, as many of this author's stories do. There's a lot I like about it, which I should probably save for a review.
