I'm glad you enjoyed these aspects in this - I love the Noldor, but sometimes focusing the lords becomes a bit much for me, and I've grown quite fond of a number of the OFCs, three of which are named here and star in more than one other fic, or will eventually. I love your view of the LaCE as a secondary source, too - they essentially are, but personally I often forget that, so overturning them here was quite fun, and glad that the alternate view makes sense. (Some of the thought behind this was a bit of a luxury problem with the Amanyar, I suppose; they don't live in a subsistence-style culture and and can afford to go different ways with no negative repercussions, whereas a far smaller group of people like Lasbaneth's family clan is under constant threat from both Morgoth and the environment, and with less sophisticated techology would need strong and mutual kinship bonds to ensure their survival.)
