I don't have the time and patience to finally learn using a sewing machine without causing desaster, so I'm in awe of anyone who's tamed those monsters! (On the plus side, I do most of my sewing while watching TV, talking to friends, listening to audiobooks or sitting in a car - all of which would be sort of hard with a noisy and/or bulky machine. ^^)
