I'm not usually a fan of OC's in fan fiction. I write fan fiction rather than original stuff because I've fallen in love with particular characters, but it is fun to throw in an occasional home grown character. Aiollda is merely a puppy in the previous story and really began to flesh herself (itself?) out in this one.
Writing a character who could be anything or anyone, opens a lot of doors for the muse! :-)
