*hands over a cookie!* Heh, you found me out in terms of stranding her there - there's much more to be written there, and I think it's much more easily conveyed by having an outsider who needs explanations of all the confusing off-the-map happenings going on. ;) Being somewhat lost is, I think, not entirely unexpected, since Baraneth is steeped in her culture and history, and finds it easy to blabber about. I recently read a thought experiment along the lines of an alien looking to a native inhabitant of the planet it landed on to explain what it's seeing, and instead of getting the usual sci-fi-y run-down of that world's history getting an answer along the lines of "sorry, I'm just a philosophy major, I don't actually know that much about world history", which clearly isn't the case here. ;)
