Pandë: This was not an easy fic to read, less easy to stomach (this is not criticism, quite the contrary, rather a compliment toward your incredible effectiveness as a writer) - but I don't regret reading it at all. I'll have to chime in with Dawn and Suzelle about the juxtaposition of Sauron's casual, methodic cruelty and his obvious care for his loved ones. It feels much more pronounced in this fic than in the others (also not surprising; after all the masks have come off at this point).
Of all things, what impacted me most was not the gore or the rather grisly description of Celebrimbor's torture and death, it was the description of Culinen's death and his reaction, as well as the final scene, scattering the rose and holly seeds... it hammered home just what cost victory came at. I suppose "wonderful work" may not quite be the right words to conclude the review on, but this was a poignant, chilling and incredible read.
Huin: I love your art - you know that already, but I think you've outdone yourself here in matching the story - the expression is perfect for showcasing that this is an ordeal for Sauron as well; I can't think of any other circumstance where that look might be more fitting.
The second piece is beautiful as well - the cool colour scheme and the darkness work perfectly for the fic in general rather than "just" the final scene, and the angle and distance for emphasis of the mood - really, really gorgeous!
