A lovely sweet and gentle departure. I'm glad Elrond found the leave taking of Aragorn harder than he had imagined it would be.

I never considered this circumstance from the perspective of what it must be like for an immortal - whom I suppose it could take centuries to fall in love - to allow a human room in their heart. I suppose I've just imagined that because they have immortal hearts, they're bigger than our tiny little mortal ones that beat so fleetingly.

You did a wonderful job of opening a new perspective window for me with this little story!
