I think Bilbo might be one of the most pleasant travelling companions I can think of. He always looked at every intersection as possibilities and looked at the positive aspects of every day. What a joy!

I hope that he was indeed helped by being in Valinor. I can't imagine the other elves or the Valar not meeting him and enjoying him immediately.
