Ooohh, I love this little gem. I am wholeheartedly a Sindar fan, and this story touches what is very dear to me.
I love how you portray Oropher here, his reasons to stand his ground and not to trust Gil-galad. Even if Gil-galad does seem a Noldo that 'should know better'. I very well understand why the remaining Sindar wouldn't accpet his help -- aiding by taking someone under the rule has a huge dose of irony. After all, didn't the Noldor have a long tradition of rebelling against the reign that they didn't accept? Didin't they bathe their freedom in blood? I love the pride you've given to both Oropher and Celeborn. I also like the fact that the two parties remain civil toward each other even though there is a lot of lies and deaths between them.
