Thank you! Yes, Gil-galad is a complicated one, for those reasons. I've always thought that he - and Elrond as well - must have been in such a complex situation in terms of how to relate to different groups. I'm always torn between both groups as well, though I do have more love for the Sindar than Gil-galad and Galadriel.
