And now it is almost six years since one wet Sunday afternoon when I began to think about a story in which Dawn closed the Hellmouth but fell through it at the same time... and landed in Middle Earth. But it would have to be a story that would not be a 10th Walker, would not be a Legomance, there would be a logical time and place for her to end up, she would not have a soft landing, they wouldn't all speak English.... I didn't realise just what I was getting myself into!!
