This is so powerful and yet so sad, since we know what is going to happen... *sniff* I'm rather unfamiliar with Halbarad, fanfic-wise, and you got me right into his mood and world of thought making me feel as if I had travelled already a long while with him and the company. I love the small details of his memories which make them so real, and the things which are important to him shown through them. Also the other details, like the kissing being comparable to an orc-invasion for a seven-year old, *g*, or Halbarad's musing about the dye Arwen used. A highly satisfying, enjoyable read!
