Thank you, winterwitch! I'm so glad you liked this, and I'm glad I was able to convey the feeling that you feel you somehow "know" him. I've carried around his entire back story in my head for several years and have only been able to write out a little of it, but I think my knowing those details somehow works out into making him real even in such a small ficlet.
