I have always loved Sam's words on awakening in Cormallen, how the weakness fell away from him and he found himself capable of such joy. Knowing him as a consummate gardener, I have to imagine that Gandalf would think of him in this manner. And I so love your image of Frodo as a shooting star--how appropriate to his nature!
