I know what you mean about OCs: I do not even like writing them (or, especially, picking out their names.) But this one idea was just too good to reject (plus, the name was easy for once.)
Glorfindel, on the other hand, shows up in EVERYTHING. Well, in about 80% of what I write. I find him strangely cheering.
On another note -- I really, really want to thank you for complimenting the language. As a writer, I tend to be an ideas person, not a poet, and getting my prose to sound less clunky has been a long-term goal. It's great to hear that I might be getting somewhere.
