Arwen in Edoras

None saw her last meeting with Elrond her father, for they went up into the hills and there spoke long together, and bitter was their parting that should endure beyond the ends of the world." -ROTK, pp. 955-6.

The reasons why are vague at best, but Arwen chooses to stay behind in Edoras while her family goes onward; presumably Aragorn regroups with her after he turns back from Isengard, but she's got at least a few weeks of chilling with a bunch of random Rohirrim plus Eowyn before he comes back. I would love to see fic about her interactions with the Rohirrim, processing her grief for losing her father (and mother, tbh), her getting to know Eowyn, really anything about this moment in time.

I find it fascinating, too, that Rohan of all places is the site of her final parting with Elrond. Extra brownie points! you could delve into this somehow!

Augh, I do have this bunny attached to my ankle about what exactly Elrond and Arwen spend their last day together talking about, so I'm going to pick this one up, just for that.
