Utter perfection. As is the entire Estel section. (As is the entire thing, really.)

Of course, you won me over just by having your librarian be obsessed with classification rather than tracking down overdue books (I have have been bitterly disappointed by fiction in this regard many times). Because yes: how do you organize books accumulated over thousands of years, encompassing continents that now no longer exist, multiple civilizations, and multiple races?

Glad I don't have that task! Also:

Absolutely a librarian's mindset! Or at least, it matches mine. "Oh, you broke the spine on that book? It's fine--we have another one and were probably going to weed it anyway." (Vs.: "It's absolutely out of print! How are we going to replace it?!") Along with, "Why were we hanging onto that in the first place?"
