What a heart-wrenching fic. I'm so glad that Idril got to set Aredhel's story straight, but especially in light of Celebrían's fate and Galadriel's foresight, the different layers to this come out as very painful. I'm glad to see Galadriel with Celebrían, though - she's as wonderful as a mother as I imagined she'd be, and Celebrían being such a book nerd is adorable.
This review doesn't do the story justice at all, I'm afraid, but I don't regret reading it at all. (Calling it 'wonderful' feels off, considering the subject matter.) It also reminded me of another fic I read a while ago, The Heart Cannot Express (archiveofourown.org/works/1693328), that deals with Aredhel's recovery in the halls of Mandos. It feels like it might be interesting to people who read this fic, too.
