Thank you! I'm glad to hear you felt it was in character for Aragorn to keep himself in the shadows. I was worried that readers would be disappointed to be cheated of the dramatic revelation scene. I was a bit disappointed to be cheated of it, to be honest, but it felt like the right thing to do.
