I do think that current academia assumes too easily that, if you can do research, you can also teach and vice versa and that the same person needs to do both, equally. Whether that would be the same in Valinor is another matter, but for the purposes of this story I have assumed so.

I suppose the Sun gets brighter in Valinor than in Middle-earth and the eyes of the latter-day Eldar would be adapted to that--but it still would be different from the Light of the Trees.
