In an earlier incarnation of the several plot bunnies involved here, the drabble series about Bor's tribe actually consisted of the fragments of Maedhros's drafts that he is writing in the first paragraph, here. That is evidently no longer true.
Not sure whether Maedhros's finished book, once edited, will read like Herodotus--but at least more like Herodotus than like Thucydides, I'd say.
