I liked the intensity of the ruminations of Aredhel about her past and her present. I also like the idea of building a mixture of the slightly varying canon threads into a single narrative--that Eol had bewitched her and/or she had chosen him--this way one gets both. I also think that her love for Curufin is an interesting interpretation. I guess I tend to assume that she was closer to Celegorm, although the basis in canon is not at all specific.
