I suspect anyone married to Feanor and bearing seven sons of such differing temperament while still remaining an artist of great renown and distinction wouldn't curl up in a corner. She's a sharp woman, not some simpering lass, and I suspect it was her backbone and sharp tongue that appealed to Feanor in the first place.
