This is something that the mods and I are about to discuss, not just because of the legal things (LJ is far less of a home for fandom than it was even a couple of years ago and we do want to keep the fest alive). As of right now, the community is not backed up onto Dreamwidth. It's a can of worms-- not everyone wants their fics there, not everyone wants to be affiliated with the site, we don't have permission for people to archive their work elsewhere, etc. We do have a DW comm, but it's a mod post-only mirror; no one else can post there right now.
We'll keep everyone in the community informed as we adjust to things. (It won't be a quick process; Dawn for one has a Tolkien conferance to attend this weekend; Passover and Holy Week/Easter both start next week.) But please know we aren't dismissing your concerns.
