TARGET PRACTICE

Thuringwithel grumbled as she took to the air. Her sisters followed, each struggling with their burdens. The sky was dark, and a storm was rushing in from the western sea. It would be a wet and rainy night and she wanted to return to the caves they called home. No choice lay before her, though. If she and her sisters did not drop their containers of liquid fire upon the opposing forces, His wrath would be frightening. He was reliable that way. She sighed and increased the speed of her wings. The sooner they hit the target, the sooner she would be home. She wanted this night over.

Love it. It's the fate of all minions. Someone up there says, "Let it be" someone down there has to "Make it be", regardless of obstacles.

That's such a creative idea.

I almost feel pity for her and her sisters. Very well written!

I always root for the underdog so I find myself in the awkward position of hoping she makes it home to her cave before the weather gets too bad. Nicely done, Erulisse.

The Angband Vampire Flying Forces! Interesting idea, and very effective writing; I could pick up on her frustration.
