This is spooky and wondrous in all the right ways! I love how you depicted little Nienor. I do have to wonder if Morwen knew... I rushed to read this without bothering to look at the character list, so the Lalaith reveal was a complete surprise to me. It worked very well, full of strong, complicated emotion as well as tenderness! In short, it was as sweet as these characters are going to get without being out of bounds regarding relation to canon. It felt very balanced. And yet this story works very well in it’s own right even aside from canon. There is a particular “feeling” throughout this story that I love. Is the title a reference to Leave My Body by Florence + the Machine by any chance?
