RUSTY PRAYERS

Stunned, Maglor looked at his brothers, then down at the small amount of ashes on the ground, all that was left of his father. He was without words and his music had deserted him. He felt adrift, as if he was in a small boat in the middle of a storm-tossed ocean of grief. Unable to move or speak, he couldn't stir or reach out to his older or younger brothers. Falling to his knees, he buried his head in his hands.

'Eru, I'm rusty at prayer,' he began to whisper, but then his tears obliterated his ability to speak.
