I’ve been thinking a bit about the founding of Eregion and about the Celeborn/Galadriel/Celebrimbor situation, prior to the arrival of a certain renegade Maia to mess things up for them. I suppose my general assumption was a refuge near the mountains but also an outpost for her to have her realm to rule and nearer to some of his kin. But the process of how they get there and the question of what happens to Celebrimbor towards the end of the war seems a very interesting one.

I really like Celeborn and feel for him with his complicated in-laws.
