I am bored into a stupor with even thinking about LaCE most of the time. I think the Catholic doctrine take on it works storywise. In world, some people can strongly believe in it and abide by it, others believe and always fail, and other still (like me maybe) have their own personal mores and principles and could care less. I do like to write LaCE as Valar-invented or developed and those who never came to Aman find it foreign and may or may not have other theories. I usually write Aman-based stories with the Vanyar (obviously) as more serious/observant, the Noldor kind of in the middle (with that rebellious streak), and the Teleri thinking it really has very little to do with how they live their lives. I'll read anything though as long as no one tries to twist by arm about it.
