Back to Middle-earth Month 2017--Night and Day--has officially begun!

Click the link below or the image of the gameboard to open the full-sized gameboard. Please note that this is a very large image that make take a few minutes to load on slower connections. We have provided a smaller copy of the gameboard here so that participants can see how the paths are placed on the board. A text-only version of the prompts can be found here.

While any path/prompt can be used to inspire any kind of fanwork you want (including reviews and rec lists), three paths have been created with specific types of fanwork in mind: the blue path for artwork, the orange path for nonfiction/meta, and the yellow path for recs. Once you choose the path you want, begin at the S and complete each square until you reach the F.

Once you open the full-sized gameboard, some squares are clickable and link to the page needed to complete the square (for Wild and Act of Kindness squares) or link to a full-text copy of poetry prompts.

I am so excited for this. :D

I've saved myself a small copy of the gameboard so I can mark off ones that I've done and track my progress. I may be planning to work on more than one path at once, so that will help . . .

I'm excited too! In part because we've been working hard on this for so long, and it's awesome to finally see it underway.

I'm going to start with nonfiction and hope my Wild roll let's me choose something from one of the general fanworks paths. ;)

I'm super-pleased with it too. It was fun working with Ysilme to make the gameboard, and I think we all did a bang-up job on the event as a whole.

This is so cool. Only time will tell, but it may be right up there with bingo, which was my favorite year ever. I just love games.
