Creator’s Notes (optional): This was supposed to be Arien and Tilion. I am not an artist, though, and especially not with abstract art. So random dark shape that was supposed to be Tilion became a wolf, and here we go.
Summary: Carcharoth bit down on a Silmaril. He is unafraid of Arien's flames.

It’s the Final Battle, and Arien returns to the ground.

Little can touch her, for she is flame and burns all those that would come near her. She dances through her enemies, and the orcs run screaming from her. The dragons bow before her, because even dragon fire cannot match the heat of the sun.

Carcharoth alone will fight her. He bit down on a Silmaril, and died while it remained.

He bites down on Arien, and he dies again in his final battle for Morgoth.

But this time, the flame dies with him, Arien extinguishing as she burns him.


I have zero skill at abstract art, hence how I ended up with moon blob transforming into wolf blob....

Oh wow! I like this! The idea of Arien and Carcharoth taking the other with them...Gah, so sad :( I would hug Arien, if she wouldn't burn me to a crisp that is. But the picture's wonderful! It's better than I could do with Tilion or wolves I'm sure!

Thank you! :D My images of the final battle are always sad, though it gets better after the world is remade and everybody gets to be happy forever. And thank you! I'd take credit for it looking good, but since I didn't even realize it looked like a wolf until I scanned it and was rotating it a bit...:P

Yes, I can see Carcharoth transforming into a kind of Fenrir.
Dramatic colours.

I hadn't thought of that when I wrote it (Norse myth is not an area I spend a lot of time thinking about), but now that I am, I see him transforming into a sort of Fenrir.
I like color, especially blues. :D

Yikes, that battle must have been a sight to see - I agree with everyone on the colours and the drama, it's certainly fitting Arien would go out with a flash!
