Cool. I like the implicit parallels between the similarly black-edged Frodo and Gollum. Sam seems to have a light at his centre, which contrasts well with their grey, and is very effective.

Ooooh, this is interesting. It feels like looking at a scene with eyes half-closed (or if you're like me and extremely near-sighted, with glasses off), where everything is just dim shapes. Perhaps this is what the scene looks like to Sauron himself, as his Ring falls and is destroyed.
