I love the drawing, especially his expression. And an entire bingo row in one drawing is awesome!

So beautiful! His expression strikes me as especially poignant - there's something very sad and reflective, but calm, and it strikes me as very fitting for someone who can't rest from his task.

His clothing is lovely, too - I like the collar of his tunic especially, and the design of his circlet. Wonderful work, all of it.

He does look rather spent, poor man, as the verse says, but also quite "ostinato" or resolute! Even for a dedicated voyager, it seems a long and lonely voyage.

One the one hand I think he'd get tired of the monotony of the journey, especially if he felt more kin to Men. On the other, being able to sail the skies gives him more freedom than the regular elf. But I wonder if it's not cruel, because the real freedom Men are able to achieve was taken from him....

Thank you! He's a complex character, who has more freedom than a regular elf but was robbed of the ultimate freedom he could have achieved if he'd stayed mortal.

btw I have to mention that something else that inspired me was that conversation between Elrond and Elros in one of your fics... don't remember which one, Elros was talking about his choice, and I could feel how tired the idea of living forever made Elros. I just imagined how it would have been for him to have to keep on going... and that's how I imagine Earendil must feel
