Creator’s Notes (optional): When I was doing research for my ficlet about the Entwives, I stumbled across a note Tolkien made about the Ents: “The males were devoted to Oromë, but the Wives to Yavanna.” (Letter 247) That made me start thinking about Ents and Oromë and what might happen when they encountered each other (though they don’t quite meet in this drabble). I’d be very curious to read someone else’s take on it.
Summary: A young Ent is inspired by hearing the horn of Oromë.
