They're not local to me either. I know it's something to do with the shape of the snout and the teeth, but heck if I know specifics, lol. Maybe someone else can tell us more.
It probably is a crocodile, then. Donut doesn't quite trust it, but hopes perhaps more fish will placate it. :)
ETA: Mom says that crocodiles have rounded, wider snouts and alligators have pointed and narrower ones. So definitely crocodile.

It's a crocodile. (At least, it was listed as a crocodile. I wouldn't know the difference. We have neither in my part of the world.)
