The BINGO Number for March 7 Is ...--CLOSED

This post is now closed. We are no longer accepting stamp requests for B10.

Yes, I am withholding today's number for the moment in a transparent attempt at suspense and to request a moment's attention from participants. :) Then back to Back to Middle-earth Madness! :)

Who thinks the B2MeM stampers are doing a fabulous job? I certainly do--so I would like to declare today Love Your Stampers Day! As part of Love Your Stampers Day, I'd like to offer some gentle reminders of how to make your stampers' considerable task just a teensy bit easier. Because--with almost 90 participants this year and OMG-I-don't-even-want-to-hazard-a-guess number of cards to manage--the stampers certainly appreciate every effort to keep their jobs as painless as possible.

  • Unless your LJ handle is exactly the same as the name you're using for B2MeM, don't forget your name on your comment. Yes, we can figure out that Lady Dawn and Dawn Felagund are the same person, but when skimming dozens of comments for her assigned players, it becomes very easy for a stamper to overlook a name that doesn't fall into the range of alphabet she's been assigned.

  • Please list the names of the cards that you need stamped. If you want to include the prompts as well, you certainly can, but we don't need this information. Just your name and the names of the cards you need stamped.

  • If you're requesting stamps for two different numbers, please comment on both posts with the respective stamps that you need. So if you wrote a story including prompts for both O68 and O67, kindly put your requests for the O68 stamps on the O68 post, and your request for the O67 stamps on the O67 post.

A huge thank you to the B2MeM volunteers who have made this first week a success! [livejournal.com profile] olorime001 was my hero of the past weekend after collecting and organizing stamp requests for me after one of our stampers required an emergency fill-in. Authors M-P have her to thank for getting your stamps done as quickly as possible! [livejournal.com profile] indy1996 and [livejournal.com profile] lignota have been taming chaos in the tagging department, and [livejournal.com profile] angelica_ramses keeps order on our intimidatingly massive master list of card requests. And, finally, our stampers [livejournal.com profile] rhapsody11, [livejournal.com profile] nelyo_russandol, and [livejournal.com profile] oloriel have juggled hundreds of cards and many more stamps with incredible grace. Thank you all!

Now your BINGO number ... :)

Today's BINGO Number

Once you make a significant start on a prompt or prompts for today's number, please leave a comment on this post. Include your author name (if it is different from the name listed for you on the B2MeM site) and the names of any cards for which you've completed prompts. If you've publicly posted a piece and would like to share a link so that others may enjoy your work, please feel free to do so.

If for some reason you cannot access LiveJournal or leave comments, please email the required information to moderator@silmarillionwritersguild.org.

One gets carried away with the story or picture or whatever it is and forgets about the details!

I actually won a Bingo game (once!), otherwise I don't win things. It's the journey, right?

OK, claiming this. Azalais, the Last Lines card: "We jumped". I know who jumped, and why...

Thank you so much to my stampers! I've not been replying to any comments to say my cards are stamped so people's inboxes aren't inundated, but it is appreciated.

Oooh, today's number is great!
Finished the rough draft of a Napoleonic ficlet - Maglor observing certain parallels between, um, other leaders and people sent into exile, so that it conveniently covers B10 on Maglor in History 2, Fëanatics AND Sons of Fëanor. \o/

EDIT: ... yeah. Name's Lyra. Go me for reading all of the above, and not remembering one bit of it once I got here. >_>
Also, thank you Dawn for not only stamping my cards, but coming up with this event in the first place! Thanks and cheers to my co-stampers as well, particularly Rhapsody the awesome for putting together so much of Rhyselle's huuuuge card heap! *hugs*

Lyra once more, checking in for Maglor in History 1 and Botany. Was meant to be a drabble, has reached ficlet length, threatens to grow longer yet. Also, why is all my characters ever do talk, talk, talk? >_>

Now, off to work today's Economy prompt into that TEA chapter. That's going to be easy - it's what the chapter is about anyway...

Haha, sometimes I have that too. And sometimes I look at prompts and just go "Ooooh, perfect match!"... and forget that it may not look like that to onlookers.
Napoleon really was easy to combine with Maedhros the leader, though. Inspiring loyalty and admiration? Check. Brilliant strategist? Well I think so. Giving a people hope and unity after a bloody revolution and years of chaos? Sure thing. Making the best of adverse circumstances? Several times. Holding on for longer than anyone would've expected? Oh yeah. Dispossessed? Yup. Vilified for his efforts? Hell yeah. Tall and red-hai-- WELL YOU CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING. :P ;)

Every day's a day of Maglor love!
(Ironically, I have no icon with only Maglor in it. Way to prove my point...)

(If I ever get them finished and polished, you mean! :))
