Yes, I am withholding today's number for the moment in a transparent attempt at suspense and to request a moment's attention from participants. :) Then back to Back to Middle-earth Madness! :)
Who thinks the B2MeM stampers are doing a fabulous job? I certainly do--so I would like to declare today Love Your Stampers Day! As part of Love Your Stampers Day, I'd like to offer some gentle reminders of how to make your stampers' considerable task just a teensy bit easier. Because--with almost 90 participants this year and OMG-I-don't-even-want-to-hazard-a-guess number of cards to manage--the stampers certainly appreciate every effort to keep their jobs as painless as possible.
- Unless your LJ handle is exactly the same as the name you're using for B2MeM, don't forget your name on your comment. Yes, we can figure out that Lady Dawn and Dawn Felagund are the same person, but when skimming dozens of comments for her assigned players, it becomes very easy for a stamper to overlook a name that doesn't fall into the range of alphabet she's been assigned.
- Please list the names of the cards that you need stamped. If you want to include the prompts as well, you certainly can, but we don't need this information. Just your name and the names of the cards you need stamped.
- If you're requesting stamps for two different numbers, please comment on both posts with the respective stamps that you need. So if you wrote a story including prompts for both O68 and O67, kindly put your requests for the O68 stamps on the O68 post, and your request for the O67 stamps on the O67 post.
A huge thank you to the B2MeM volunteers who have made this first week a success!

Now your BINGO number ... :)

Once you make a significant start on a prompt or prompts for today's number, please leave a comment on this post. Include your author name (if it is different from the name listed for you on the B2MeM site) and the names of any cards for which you've completed prompts. If you've publicly posted a piece and would like to share a link so that others may enjoy your work, please feel free to do so.
If for some reason you cannot access LiveJournal or leave comments, please email the required information to moderator@silmarillionwritersguild.org.

Thank you to everyone for all of your hard work!

Date: 2012-03-06 11:34 pm (UTC)Forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere, but I have a general question brought by looking at one of my cards, which after I claim B10 will have a line almost complete. As unlikely as it might be, it could happen that someone e-yells bingo, say, tomorrow or the next day. I'm assuming the game won't end, but will it be like real-life bingo in that everyone clears their cards and starts over? Or do we keep on going and see who comes in 2nd and 3rd etc etc?
(And if this has already been addressed, just slap me and point me to where I can read it...)

Life Events - sex --- yep, that qualifies as a life event
Textures - smooth - couple hundred words
Weather - cloudy - using it with Waters
Waters - lake - outlined, I'll write it tomorrow
*thanks the awesome stamper*

Date: 2012-03-07 10:52 am (UTC)I can haz stamps for:
Maglor in History 1 B10: The One Ring is destroyed
Maglor in History 2 B10: Napoleon conquers Europe
Feanatics: B10 Unjust exile
Femslash b10: Melian and her descendants
The muses have other ideas, so I am going to do some re-writing and shuffling of characters in my ficlets/vignettes/short'n sweet stories.
Oh and... just a question, I am missing two stamps for I22, see here (http://b2mem.livejournal.com/29317.html?thread=469125#t469125), when you have the time, can you stamp those as well? *hugs*

Date: 2012-03-07 12:24 pm (UTC)Name: Shadowbrides, but officially Aerlinn on the SWG. I am unsure which one to use?
Card: Maglor in History 2 + Occupation
B10: Napoleon conquers Europe + occupation: scribe
Second story:
Cards: Feanatics, Talents and Skills, Of The Sea, Economy
B10: Feanatics: unjust exile; Talents and Skills: gardening, Economy: scarity; Sea; River Mouth.
I swear I didn't try to include as many cards as possible in the last one; I wanted to write something about Unjust Exile, checked the rest of the B10's on my cards and it just...fit.
