Summary: Gil-galad has had enough of Thranduil's games
Oropher's midsummer revel was in full swing when Thranduil weaved toward him. “Is your title not enough to attract a partner?” he sneered, trailing a teasing finger across Gil-galad's shoulders. “Or would the Noldor be too scandalized to see their king actually celebrating properly?”
Gil-galad thought the woodland prince had outgrown this nonsense, but apparently it had only been buried several glasses of wine deep. The temptation to do something very stupid and very satisfying was overwhelming. He took Thranduil's wrist in a grip that brooked no argument and dragged him stumbling along behind into a bit of woods not already occupied.
That Thranduil was somewhat taller than Gil-galad didn't make it any harder to back him up against a tree. “If you want something from me, Your Highness,” Gil-galad ordered in a steely whisper, “ask for it.”
Thranduil smiled and lifted his chin, not so much asserting himself as baring his neck. “That's more in the spirit of the occasion,” he drawled. “Consider me at your disposal, Your Majesty.” He left it in Gil-galad's power to put a stop to this, or keep going.
Well, he hoped diplomatic relations with Oropher would survive. “On your knees, then,” he instructed.
