A FORCE OF NATURE by Erulisse (one L)
B2MeM Prompt, Card and Number:G55: Halo (32-Yellow), Natural (?) disasters (51-Darkness, Darkness), Puppets, dolls and nursery rhymes (103-Horror)
Format: Drabble
Genre: Gen
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Characters: Galadriel, mention of Celeborn and Celebrian
Pairings:Creator’s Notes (optional): We're wrapping things up - only one more prompt after this one. Time to attack one of the strong women in Tolkien, because there aren't that many strong women in the books.
Summary: People exist in the eyes of the beholder. Here are three different views of one person.
A FORCE OF NATURE
Some treated her with reverence. (In the distant future, portraits of her would have featured halos). She would have considered this quite ridiculous - she was practical, after all.
Her daughter remembered her as an imaginative playmate, one who told tales and held doll tea parties. Jealous rivals mumbled harshly about her manipulations of political puppets - it was an accusation that held echoes of truth.
Her husband considered her a strange type of natural disaster. "Galadriel, did you sign a treaty with Moria - again?" he asked as he strode towards her, a sheet of parchment in his hand.
