Admin Post: Call for Banners!

We are looking for graphic artists who wish to contribute banners and icons for this year's B2MeM. Contributions must fit the following requirements.

• Must have "Back to Middle-earth Month 2020," "B2MeM 2020," or "B2MeM '20" somewhere on them.



• If you wish to work with it, our theme this year is "Endings and Beginnings."



• Any size banner is acceptable. Icons should be 100 pixels by 100 pixels or smaller.



• You must have permission to use any artwork or photography that you use on the banner/icon. This means that any artwork or photography used must satisfy at least one of the conditions below:



• The artwork/photography is your own work, or you own the rights to the work.



• The artwork/photography is in the public domain.



• You have written permission from the artist/photographer to use her or his work, including making modifications, such as cropping or adding text.



• The artwork/photography is clearly labeled with permission to use the work for nonprofit uses, including making modifications, such as cropping or adding text.



• Screen captures from the movies are acceptable.



• Any artwork or photography used must be suitable for all audiences, i.e., it should not include nudity, blood/gore, or anything more than mild sexuality (hugging, kissing, etc.).



• Files should be saved in .JPG, .PNG, or .GIF file formats.

I have a bunch to send you. Is there a limit on how many to attach to an email? The largest banners are 515/375 pixels (those would be banners designed to fit on Tumblr).

That's going to depend on your email! Email providers generally have a file size limit.

If you use Dropbox or Drive, you can also put all them in a folder and share it with me. I'll download them right away so you can remove them again so as not to take up space.

I would love to do that. But Drive is what? Google? I have Dropbox also but have never shared it. I am so bad at that kind of thing. In fact, they are in a Dropbox folder already.

Yes, Drive is Google's cloud storage service, similar to Dropbox. (I use both though Dropbox more for personal/fannish stuff and Drive almost exclusively for work.)

I was about to type out sharing directions and then my phone buzzed and you've shared it with me! :D Thank you! I'll get those downloaded right away.

Thanks for putting up with my nonsense. It turned out to be really, really easy but for me NOT intuitive! Nothing ever is but I was motivated because I know you--you would write me instructions and I did not want you to do that.
