It is good to see them taking leave of one another. And I wish that Maglor had accepted the invitation to take up residence in Rivendell.

It might have been good for him, but even if Elrond has forgiven him, the twins might not understand it. And even if they do, there were other Elves there who wouldn't have welcomed a kinslayer.
