BINGO Card Errata

A few mistakes made it into the last batch of cards, which I've corrected. Thank you to those of you who take the time to alert us of problems so that we can fix them! :)

I initially uploaded the incorrect, unnumbered version of the Archery in Arda card. That has been corrected.

The "Beachy" and "Coastly" card originally had a prompt that read, "Under the stars, under the sun, under the moon (depict the seacoast under a heavenly illumination in art form)" when it should have been "art or story form." That's been corrected as well. If you avoided this card because you didn't want to create artwork for that prompt, then go forth and claim it!

Finally, I tried to pull a fast one and got caught. heartofoshun requested a list of pending cards earlier in the week, which I posted as a comment on an earlier post, and I listed a card that I was working on called Fëanátics. Because other duties called, I never got a chance to finish the card and so posted the last batch without it, thinking no one would notice. Ha. I've been persuaded to finish it. I know I promised the last batch was the last. You can throw rotten bananas at me if you want. This really is the last one! *knock on wood*

I am not a Feanorian, never have been. We know this. But these prompts are AWESOME! I could write (some of) these prompts. I could do it without certain people hating me, even.

Okay, this and the beachy one (Oshun's fault) and that's it, I'm done. Don't give me any more. Please.

I'm giggling about your icon because I just did the Legend of Tristan and Isolde with my 12th graders and picked that artwork to go with it because it reminded me of Maedhros! :D

I basically made this card to make fun of myself, as I think I've used almost every argument on this card at one point or another.

I added the Beachy and Feanatics cards to your list, so you don't need to formally request them. :)

And thank you and everyone else involved for putting this whole wonderful idea out there. I'm looking forward to seeing what March brings :)

You really want to do us in, do you? I can't claim another card, because that will bring me from a perfectly nice 36 to a horrid 37, and to rectify that I will need another three cards. (Yes, I have very strange preferences when it comes to numbers, despite my utter aversion to Maths.)

A certain daft webmaster (that'd be me) updated the file, added it to MPTT, and then never uploaded it to the SWG server. Doh! It's there now, but you don't need to request it formally; I'll go ahead and add it to your list for you. :)

You say that you've used most of these yourself--which has made me notice that not only have I never read the Felak'verse Nolofinwe as particularly weaselly in any way, I seem to have read few Feanatic stories that do accuse Fingolfin of that particular trait. Feanor himself does, of course.

A lot of them I've used in discussions, not in stories. Once upon a time, when general Tolkien lists were more active, I frequently engaged in the "are Feanor et al evil??" discussion. Even then, I don't think I used "that weasely Fingolfin," but it's a common enough excuse among the Feanorian apologists that it belonged on there. :)

Dawn, may I ask something? It's a stupid question, I know, but...

Each day a number will be called, right? Do you by any chance know approximately when (morning, evening, afternoon, at the same hour every day...)? Not all of us come from the same time zones. I'd like to know if I'll have to stay up until 2 am to see the number or something like that. ;) Not that I'd mind, of course. I'd just like to know when to expect them.

It's not a stupid question at all! :) I actually just included that very bit of information in an email I'm going to be sending shortly to all B2MeM participants because it definitely does matter.

I'm going to post the new BINGO number each day around midnight GMT. Participants will then have 48 hours to start their prompts (and report that they've started, either on this community or via direct email). After I post the day's BINGO number, I'll close comments on the post from 48 hours before.

I'll always err on the side of benefiting the participants, i.e., the number may be posted a little early, and the post may close a little late. :)

I have definitely written all of these. I had a sneaking suspicion that I might qualify as a Feanatic! I think I will claim it anyway--as a fallback. I am not as into difficult challenges as a lot of people are.
