Well, if it's any consolation, when I first joined the SCA, I chose a very simple name for myself that I was sure would be easy to spell and pronounce: Eithne. Ha. Hahahaha. As if. No one says it right. I don't even want to imagine how other people spell it. So I sometimes think some of us are just doomed to have unspellable/unpronounceable names, even if that name is Fred. ;)

Truly, the only name that gets spelled pretty consistently correct is my fandom penname. The worst permutation is see is the occasional "Fegalund." :)
