The accompanying artwork for this story does a wonderful job of illustrating the story.
*
The first is a photo of the chimneys at Hampton Court Palace, which helps to illustrate the architectural design of the house of Gilfanon and helps to set the tone of the story. This party is to be a celebration of the host’s newest rose, which he has named in honor of one of the Valar. The Vanyarin ambassador and his wife are to be the guests of honor. In such a dignified, formal setting, what could possibly go wrong?
*
The second is a cartoon sketch by Robinka, which features the intrepid Glorfindel – and the ever-diplomatic Elrond – in kilts. Glorfindel is confident and looking forward to the coming festivities while Elrond is much less certain that things will proceed smoothly.
*
The third, a full-length color portrait by Elf of Cave, showcases our illustrious host, Gilfanon, who clearly has gone to great lengths to dress appropriately for such an auspicious occasion. Clearly, much time thought and effort has gone into his appearance, which is the height of haute couture and certainly equal to that of the guest of honor.
*
The fourth and final sketch by the author shows Bilbo, Olórin (Gandalf) and Sauron attempting to bring closure to all that has happened between them. (Of course, Sauron is also meeting with others in an attempt to reconcile his deeds as a part of his ‘rehabilitation’.)

Samtyr, thanks a million for the review! Love your summaries (very droll)! I got such a kick out of Robinka and Elf of Cave's drawings. Binka has illustrated a couple other fics of mine as well (Cat's Paws and Till Fire Purge All Things New).

I'm sure there will be more stories featuring that trio of Glorfindel, Elrond, and Gilfanon. After all, they now must face King Ingwë due to the Wig Incident. :^D

Thanks again!
