This must be F/M day for me. For all it is the biggest romance story in Tolkien's work (way bigger than even Feanor/Nerdanel or Aragorn/Arwen or Hurin/Morwen, etc.) and his favorite, it is not the biggest in fandom. I would like to something more about Beren/Luthien. Any genre, any rating, any angle.

For some reason, I'm going through a Beren/Luthien phase, so...*tosses over farthing*

Elu and his new Prince of Doriath discuss warding the borders, Celeborn is unsure of his new responsibilities. Will he express his uncertainties to his great-uncle or keep silent?

(In mine and Emma's 'verse, Celeborn became Prince of Doriath because his father, Galadhon - Elu's nephew - was exiled for aiding Luthien's escape so the title fell to Celeborn. But there could be other reasons, I'm wondering what someone will make of it. :) I put 'het' in there in case someone wanted to add a bit of Elu/Melian or Celeborn/Galadriel or whatever, but that's not important. :) I don't care about the rating.)

There is so little about Nimloth in canon, and I'd love to know more - who is she and where did she come from, what did it feel like stepping into the footsteps of Melian as Queen of Doriath? I'd rather not read about the Kinslaying, and would prefer something set during her early life or reign in Doriath.

Melian teaches Galadriel about magic, osanwe, the creative properties of magical mirrors, how to put a protective girdle around land, etc. And there's loads of femslash along the way.

Okay... I wasn't going to bite on this one quite yet, but it fits with another prompt that I got a little while ago, so... have this Farthing!

Yay, I was really hoping someone would grab this one!

Aredhel meets the dwarves for the first time while residing in Nan Elmoth. She receives the biggest surprise when, after the customary introductions and greetings among the dwarves and Eöl and the other Sindar/Avari, the bearded dwarves all remove their cloaks and coats to reveal that each one of them are women.

Aredhel's relationship with the Sindar/Avari who live in Nan Elmoth, fellow black smiths (women and men alike), and with the dwarves. Does Aredhel learn Khuzdul? Does she engage in more metal-work alongside her new friends? Who were her closest friends?

Forgot to give a farthing to this, as a part of it relates to the story I'm working on! :)

In The Lay of the Children of Húrin, Beleg is described as "a son of the wilderness who wist no sire."

Now sure, Christopher Tolkien theorizes this might be because Beleg is one of the original parentless Elves from Cuivienen, but I like to think that maybe he was just raised by a single mom (or even two moms).

What is Beleg's mother like? Does she live in Doriath or elsewhere, and what are her political allegiances? Is she friends with Melian or Nellas? Does she ever meet Morwen or Nienor?

Celeborn during his time in Doriath - who is he?
Show him perhaps as a young man coming into his own, perhaps the tale how he came to be called the Wise, a character study or a tale about friendship or adventure, or first love - anything goes. Bonus points if he has a special relationship to trees and nature.

One or more of the stories that Aredhel tells to Maeglin in Nan Elmoth about her family and the outside world.

There's just not enough of this pairing around! So my challenge is this: Give me all your Beleg/Túrin: a tryst (that they canonically indulged in!), either of them reflect on DOOOOOOOM, whether specific or general, contrast between mortality/immortality, Beleg and Túrin totally being bash brothers (warning: link goes to TVTropes) and thus all that delicious stuff about loyalty and love and being in the arms of your brother-in-arms, etc.

Angst and smut greatly desired, but not requires.

* The subject line is good for a joke, but I do see Celeborn as Sindarin. Maybe Galadriel enjoyed calling him by the Telerin version of his name? ... For sexy purposes?

** I'd prefer for Galadriel to dom, but other than that, all bets are off.

Well, I just spent three hours writing a thing, so I guess I'd better give you my farthing. (I'm afraid it features Telerin Celeborn...clearly, others need to also claim this prompt.)

We know that many things the High King of the Sindar did went wrong. But I'm sure, there are still many things that make him a great ruler, a good father, and a loving husband. So I'm asking you to write about those positive things. Let us show Elu Thingol our appreciation :) Gen/het/rating up to you. Good luck!

What if Beren and Luthien run off together? What would have happened? Would the Union of Maedhros have worked with Thingol's support, or would the Doom played out regardless? Would there still have been Second and Third Kinslayings?

Anything goes. If Luthien/Nellas can be worked into it, then there's a tray of cookies waiting...

This seems so obvious it must surely already exist. But I cannot find it.

I would like to see a Luthien fic (can be Luthien/Beren smut, or gen -- perhaps an adventure story) in which her internal monologue makes references to what her Inner Maia is up to.

I would like this - I'm not sure if I'm thinking adventure, but I am definitely thinking her internal monologue making references to her Inner Maia.

AU: When Aredhel loses her guards and strays into the woods alone, she meets Lúthien, not Eol. When she dares to ask Thingol for his daughter's hand, he is enraged by her Noldorin arrogance and declares that she can marry his daughter...but only if she brings him a Silmaril from the crown of Morgoth!

Or to put it another way, if you replace Beren with Aredhel in the Tale of Tinúviel, what happens next? How does it change Middle-earth history?

I want more Beleg Cúthalion stories of any variety. Not simply Beleg/Turin which I do enjoy very much. Binka** asked me for a Beleg story--opened ended. And I decided that I wanted it part of this B2MeM experience.

That's all background really: Here is the meat of my Beleg prompt. Within the Girdle of Melian, Beleg is known for his wisdom and experience, a trusted and reliable (attractive and appealing guy). Show him fitting those stereotypes or stumbling on them.
