"Mystery First Age Elves" by Zeen

B2MeM Challenge: Rivendell - Someone opens the pages of a book and something falls out - [livejournal.com profile] himring.
Format: Photomanip/Sketch
Genre: Slash
Rating: Adult
Warnings: Implied nudity
Characters: Mystery First Age Elves, Glorfindel, Elrond
Pairings: ... Yes.
Creators' Notes (optional): One photomanip and a drawing. Large-ish images.

Summary: Stuck between the pages of an ancient anatomy book, Glorfindel is surprised to find images that are, perhaps, not intended to teach so much as to titillate. Naturally, he brings them to Elrond for his expert opinion.

"That's quite nice, I think," Glorfindel said. He tactfully did not mention that of course he recognized who these people were -- or supposed to be, anyway. Elrond gave him a wry look. Perhaps Glorfindel's tact was was not as sharp as he thought.

"But this must be Maedhros, surely? Pity about the inkstain. It looks almost deliberate."

"Don't touch it! It's very ancient. And besides, Maedhros' legs were not that short."

"I wasn't rehoused yesterday, Elrond, I know how ancient it is. And it's foreshortened, here. Whoever did this wasn't very good..."

Eventually, they agreed that the drawings ought be preserved, to teach future generations something or other.

The pictures are beautiful and titillating would not be unfair at all. But aren't you wicked to call attention to the slightest skewed (foreshortened) perspective. If you had not have said anything I never would have noticed.

I love the inkstain! It does look deliberate and it's gorgeous. Shame on you. Now you are making me laugh at virtually every aspect of two outstandingly beautiful pictures.

Eventually, they agreed that the drawings ought be preserved, to teach future generations something or other.

That's priceless also!

I love this artwork and already have it on my harddrive to admire at my leisure.

You have to be kidding? Of course, I want it!

Yes, they certainly are. It's a lovely pose and their expressions are terrific. You did such a fabulous job of capturing a similar mood in your picture. I love your picture even more seeing this. I'm very impressed.

I contemplated leaving the penis in, but idk.

I personally think it is hotter without. Seen one seen them all--although that one in the photo was a rather elegantly proportioned one.

I think it has a broader reach as an emotionally intelligent piece of work. Pornish enough without being over-the-top explicit. OMG! If I keep writing I am going to sound like Mary Renault, which I am not!

*squeak of delight*

These are gorgeous and definitely worth preserving so that future generations can, um, thingy. Yes.

*is totally distracted by staring at that first picture* Gahh, their smiles, oh, my heart can't take it.

*happy grin* Ancient pieces of art! Need to be preserved!

*still grinning* I love the way it's implied that they both know who's depicted as well as who did the painting ;)

Bah, Glorfindel has no taste or sense of tact to talk that way about this unknown artisan.

These are lovely, Zeen... and now I'm wondering what third participanty might have drawn that first one. :D

I should hope it was her! :D (Check the Noldorin Beleriand stall?)

That is a brilliant idea. I have to track that prompt down. I am extremely fond of Mrs Fingon--her name is Tadiel in my world. And she is very fond of Fingon and Maedhros and the feeling is mutual. No writing her out of my story. I stuck her in second of my very first Maedhros/Fingon fics (A New Day (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=107) not to mention other places, but a lot of space in Mereth Aderthad (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=378) also).

Please do write your version. I know it would be brilliant.

These are clearly highly educational and must definitely be preserved for posterity!
Even if what they teach isn't exactly anatomy, perhaps...
Glorfindel doesn't quite seem to appreciate the fine art of ink-staining sufficiently, does he?

(I love "I wasn't rehoused yesterday"!)

I love these, especially the second one! And the accompanying dialogue is perfectly, appropriately awkward--of course they would critique the art, rather than ACTUALLY talk about finding porn of people they knew...

I missed this yesterday

Brilliant!

Came back for a little education myself. One is never to told to learn.
