Bright, beautiful, peaceful:
The spring of Arda.

(Summer)

Young, curious Elves
prospering under mingled light
of silver and gold.

(Autumn)

Cherished remains,
trying to maintain glory
of failing hopes.

(Winter)

Dark, bereaved land
haunted by prophesied fate.
Yet hope remains.

Beautiful capturing of the atmosphere of the individual stages of the history of Arda with just a few words! It reminds me on Tolkien's poem "Trees of Kortirion" - the feeling of it is similar, although it is much longer.
