From the prow she saw the blessed lushness of the green coast, her kinsmen, daughters, beckoning at her, running along the beach like children, some singing for joy, some praying with fervor matched only by the despair that overtook them when the world went black.
She clutched at Meneldil, tighter.
"It is well, love," Anárion whispered in her ear. "This will be home like Elenna-norë never was-- no strife, no persecution."
She nuzzled against him. "Could the others be safe, somewhere?" she asked, reluctantly, but her greatest fear kept to herself: had the seeds of darkness come with them here?
